Burano in Panorama

We had a long day visiting Venice and Murano and we were tired. After some deliberations, we decided we push on a little more by taking the vapareto water taxi the 30 minutes further to the next island, Burano, even though it would get us back to our AirBnB late. I'm happy that we did, as it turned out to be my favorite island of Venice that we visited.  Like Murano, it was significantly less touristy than the main island and certainly more colorful. Every building was brightly painted - and when combined with the waterfront walks and canals that ran through the island, created a spectacular view - especially at sunset when we were there. Of all the places I would want to return to on the islands of Venice, this tops my list.
