Yesterday we made an 8 minute trek to our local library for the first time. There was supposed to be an engineering meetup for kids, but apparently a couple of the mentors were sick, so it got cancelled.The kids were not too disappointed as the Stockbridge library both had a great children's section of books and an extensive collection of Marvel and DC graphic novels. They felt right at home and made themselves comfortable and started reading.
When it came time to check out our books, they were a little surprised that our library card only allowed us a grand total of 12 books. For Andrew, who routinely maxes out his library card in San Diego at the 40 book limit, this was disappointing. But on a positive note, this means we will likely be making many more treks to local libraries here in Edinburgh.
