Le Vaisseau - Children's Science Museum!

We have rarely gone to the same place twice on our trip. It's just the nature of exploring new places and moving around quite a bit. However, we went to Le Vaisseau (literally, the vessel, like a ship) three times while in Strasbourg! The first was with all our boys, second was with all but Sam who was on a business trip with Dave and lastly when our friends from preschool joined us on a rainy Sunday. It's entertaining for the children, fun that it's science-based exhibits and it's warm and indoors! Win win win.

My favorite was the water table with a functioning lock. Andrew's favorite was the pitch-black maze that taught you what it feels like to be blind. He also spent a lot of time making a track for a ball to roll down. Thomas's favorite was the giant pin board you push on to make a relief map of yourself. Adam's favorite was the construction area. Sam's favorite was making a tricky bridge with the building blocks. All the boys enjoyed a section with course for wheelchairs and crutches. It made us all contemplate how difficult it would be to go over cobblestones in a wheelchair.
