Morocco is culturally half Arabic / half Berber. They speak Arabic and French. Lots of people also speak Spanish and/or English.
The Arabic Marrakech had people saying things like "don't take pictures of my shop" and were more pushy in terms of trying to sell/negotiate.
The Berbers were less pushy, had no problems with pictures, and seemed more friendly upfront.
