Appreciating Outstanding AirBnB's

As many of our friend know, we have AirBnB-ed our own home for many years to help pay for our vacations. And recently, with the "Shack" next door to our home, we have experimented with running a rental as a full time AirBnB. With both our home and the Shack, Christine does a huge amount of work to make sure that our homes are beautiful, well decorated, stocked with any basics a travelling family might need when they stay at either place. So when we stay at AirBnBs over the course of these travels, we are probably more attuned to how much effort the hosts put into their property. Particularly, in London our AirBnB was overpriced and run down. It was just functional enough to sleep in, with its major advantage being a three minute walk to King's Cross station.

But the house we stayed at in Bath, England was particularly well done and worthy to share.

For those of you who knew Christine back when, we walked into the house and were welcomed by the perfect sign for her. Everywhere you looked, the host had cute sayings on the walls, in picture frames, on the throw pillows and even on the stairs!

The living room just screamed "come flop on my couch! Relax!"
The "LOVE" sign even lit up the room!

The host left us a bottle of wine, chocolates, and biscuits.
The boys couldn't believe it - we can really eat all this candy?

Every room made you happy to be in. Dad was so happy to have a real kitchen with real cooking supplies to cook in. The kids enjoyed perusing the collection of fun movies. And each bedrooms had its own cute little saying everywhere.

The morning we were to leave to see the Roman Baths, Andrew quoted his pillow without opening his eyes. It was the perfect mantra for our kid who loves sleeping in. We might need to find this pillow for him when we return to San Diego.

If you ever get the opportunity to stay near Bath,
ask us about the cutest AirBnB...
